They say the first step is usually the hardest but here I am dipping my toes into the blogging world. I have always loved writing; somehow things got in the way and that took a back seat but interestingly enough, life has a way of reminding us of our goals and aspirations.
Hello everyone! Welcome to Ava's Home and Beauty blogging corner. My name is Cheryl Thomas, I am the owner and Chief Operating Officer of Ava's Home and Beauty, a company I founded to provide luxurious home and beauty products for all and at the same time build a legacy with my family.
I was born in Sierra Leone, West Africa and relocated to the United States during my teenage years. As you could already imagine, readjusting to a new way of life was not an easy feat but with the help of my family, I became fully acclimated to the American way of living and went on to obtain my Masters degree in Healthcare Management. I live in Beltsville, MD with my daughter and fiancé. I am a Christian, love kids and my obsession are shoes and beauty products!!
Now that you know a little bit about me (you'll get more stories in due time), let's redirect the focus on why i choose to start a blog post. We all have different views on some of the major issues going on in the world and while I don't seek on issuing advice, it's very important that we listen to each other without judgment and learn. There is a popular saying "each one teach one."
This blog will be for everyone; people trying to figure some things out, those who've already figured some stuff out and the experienced individuals who can also teach us. So, nothing will be off topic and we might get a bit controversial sometimes but that's the beauty of blogging - it's a learning process so I'll be doing the writing but it will be amazing to hear from you guys too, so be sure to frequently utilize the comment section.
We'll talk about home and beauty products of course, but we'll also discuss fashion, the beauty and beast of entrepreneurship, relationships, finances, share parenting stories, the role of religion in our lives, dating in this era, social media, technology and so much more.
Come on this journey with me- who knows what we might learn from each other! As we say in my local dialect "una join me pan dis waka."
P.S : Please subscribe to receive our bi-weekly postings - you wouldn't want to miss out!
I love this Cheryl💙💙
